Máquina de Estados was formed on the 2nd of October 1997. Our firm is composed of highly skilled professionals in Telecommunications and Computer Science. Its creation and implementation had several goals: the maximization of the utility of computer systems, the improvement of the performance of hardware and software systems, and the implementation and integration of the results of new computerised technologies.
Máquina de Estados' primary concern is that of quality of all its products and services, as well as effective, efficient support in resolving computer related problems.
One of the most important factors for success in our current enterprise strategy is based on the ever-greater need for securing transmitted data. Increasingly the success of each project is determined by decisions based on up-to-the-minute facts, and contact with the target-consumer is growing exponentially on the Internet.

Máquina de Estados has had the pleasure of serving several notable institutions and enterprises, such as:
- Guião, in developing an E.R.P., planning networks, configuring servers, and training.
- Lisgráfica, in planning the network's infrastructure, developing software, supporting the C.T.P. and liasing with several of their clients.
- The Physics Department at I.S.T.- U.T.L., in development and administration of their internal network, giving support to the computing department and developing teaching staff administration software; this application was later also installed in the Mathematics Department of the F.C.T. - U.N.L.
We also collaborated with: Nitrodesign, Centro de Física de Interacções Fundamentais (Physics Centre of Fundamental Interactions), Sociedade de Advogados Delgado Martins, Chapitô, Grafilis, Jornal de Negócios, Correio da Manhã, Record, Emigrante, Optiroc Portugal and Clínica de Santa Mafalda.
